The stones show a different colour on each surface when the light hits it. On one side it may appear pink in the light, on the next side blue, on the next side yellow, etc. When the light is not hitting it, the stone appears clear.

The stones are angled towards the light in the photographs, so you can see some of the colours they show on their surfaces. When they are not angled towards the light, they do not show the colours in this way, and appear clear.
